Skycatcher gives access to an online archive of photographs of the sky above Amsterdam. The photographs are taken with a camera positioned on the roof of a building in the center of Amsterdam (De Balie) facing East. Since July 2005, the camera captures images every 5 minutes.
The background image of this page is the last taken picture of the sky. All photographs can be downloaded and are free to use under the conditions of this specific Creative Commons license. Please read it for the details.

The whole Skycatcher archive was exhibited as a monumental wallpaper in Museum De Paviljoens, Almere nov 2007 - april 2008.
